Reseña: 9 años después de la dolorosa separación de Dire Straits y un año después del accidente en motocicleta de Mark Knopfler, lanzó Shangri-La, su cuarto álbum de estudio y solista. Lleva el nombre del estudio donde fue grabado. La última canción, Don't Crash The Ambulance, lo involucra en el hecho del accidente nombrado previamente.
